The concept of the pavilion is developed around the forest as a metaphor which advances the idea of essence, simplicity, sincerity and naturalness. The multitude of opaque and transparent limits established in this natural setting defines the type of space: open, fluid and easy to go around.
The proposed exposure method for the stand is an interpretation to the verticality of the tree. The overlapping of these modules sets a vague boundary thus contouring intimate subspaces in the overall public area of the exhibition.
The multitude of growth rings confers the thickness of the tree trunk at a certain moment in its life. The elements used for furnishing the pavilion can radially extend, thus the concept can be scaled to any space.
At the intersection of the light with the protective surface of the forest, a bidimentional limit of space appears - the shadow. This element is found as a projection on the flat surfaces of the pavilion’s closings reinterpreting the atmosphere of a forest glade.
