In cooperation with 3w Immobilien and Falko Streber at Colliers Stuttgart, Michelgroup has developed a Retail Concept for the new Innenstadtquartier Esslingen. The planning and redevelopment of this project has undertaken the renovation of the existing Karstadt building with the addition of three new buildings creating a new mixed-use urban centre offering 22,000 sqm of retail space and 2,500 sqm of residential space. Within the strategic plan for Innenstadtquartier Esslingen, a connection has been created between the Highstreet Bahnhofstrasse and Pliensaustrasse. This new mixed-use urban centre destination repositions and revitalizes this quarter expanding the city centre’s commercial district to serve both shoppers and residents.
