The Schwendergasse library in Vienna's 15th district is housed in a block from the 1970s, along with a music school and an adult education facility. Its appearance no longer reflects the changed image of a modern library, and the fittings and furnishings cannot accommodate the radical change from the printed book to modern media.
The remodeling will meet both theses both demands. Additionally, it will provide disabled access.
