Restaurant Altes Klösterli

The Restaurant Altes Klösterli at Zurich Zoo has been the subject of a complete renovation this summer 2016 for which our company Decoris Interior Design in Zurich was responsible.

We realized the complete design, planning, construction management and execution. The task was, to restore and redesign the building of the restaurant and dining rooms in its original state, however not in an old-fashion appearing, but also to appeal younger guests.

To get rid of the various layers of paint in each dining room measurements as sandblasting the wall have been taken to make visible the natural structure of wood again. Carpets, curtains, lighting, furniture were completely replaced. Since September 2016, the "new Altes Klösterli" appears in new splendour.

We did enjoy this nice challenge very much and it was very appreciating by the client Zoo Zurich. A "new Altes Klösterli", which is now waiting for numerous guests enjoying culinary delights.
