Lecture by Gigon/Guyer
It is now more than 30 years since the architects of the Swiss firm Gigon & Guyer Architekten first appeared on the international architecture scene. On 19 October, A+ Architecture in Belgium and BOZAR will be teaming up to present an online interview with Annette Gigon, conducted at a distance from the Centre for Fine Arts.
Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer founded Gigon/Guyer in Zurich in 1989 and launched their career with a flying start when they won the competition to design the Kirchner Museum in Davos. Since then, their architecture practice has forged an international reputation, notably thanks to a dozen museum projects and a series of designs for residential and office buildings.
Today, Gigon and Guyer are both lecturers at the EPF in Zurich. Their work has received a number of prestigious awards, including the International Fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in 2009. A number of monographs have also been published on their work.
The interview with Annette Gigon, conducted by Lisa De Visscher, will be available on the A+ Facebook page, as well as on the A+ YouTube channel.
